Government provided year-wise data on GST and cess/surcharge revenues collected from Karnataka between 2021–22 and 2024–25, showing total receipts rising from ₹95,926 crore in 2021–22 to ₹1,59,563 crore in 2024–25. The State's share through tax devolution, grants-in-aid and special assistance also increased over the same period, with total transfers amounting to ₹1,56,005 crore in devolution, ₹23,811 crore in grants, and ₹13,026 crore under special assistance. The Government clarified that no special assistance grant recommended by the Finance Commission is pending for release to Karnataka. Further, it stated that there is no proposal to devise an alternative mechanism to compensate producing States like Karnataka for post-GST compensation revenue loss.

Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:

a. the details of central taxes, GST and cess/surcharge revenues collected from the State of Karnataka from the financial year 2021–22 to 2024–25, year-wise;

b. the details of corresponding accounts transferred to the State through tax devolution, grants and special assistance during the said period;

c. whether any special grant recommend by the Finance Commission is pending or unreleased in the said State, if so, the reasons therefor; and

d. whether the Government has devised/proposes to devise any alternative mechanism to compensate producing States like Karnataka for post- GST compensation revenue loss and if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?
